Frequently Asked Questions

What is Reading Room Ediquette?

The reading rooms at ReadersNet are a wonderful place to gain knowledge share comraderie and make new friendships.
Our readers are very specialized and highly gifted in their work with Spirit, and we consider our reading rooms a safe and sacred place for all who enter.

We do insist that all who partake in our chats do so with love and honor for themselves, each other and the readers. We expect you to treat others, as you desire to be treated. Rudeness is never tolerated. If you encounter a problem with someone in our rooms please email us at support@readersnet.com. Your cooperation enables us to continue to offer a special haven for all those who enter here.

Some readers prefer 'protocol' in the rooms when they are reading. That means when a reader states that the session will be held in protocol, no extraneous talking when the reader is offering a consultation to someone is permitted. We do have a whisper and instant message function in all our rooms so that you can converse with one another without disturbing the flow and sacredness of the reading. Interupting during a reading shows a lack of respect toward our gifted and talented readers.

We welcome you, and are pleased to share this wonderful place! We know you will enjoy your visit here, and hope you will come again!

What is a reading?

A reading is not merely a means to find out what may happen next, but as a way of giving insight to one's personal power and freedom of choice.

The future is a set of options. It is not enough just to see what may occur. It is more important to assist others in learning to see the power within themselves and that they are the ones who make the choices.

A reading is like a road map, it can show you what the next point of interest is. Or show you avenues to take to arrive at new destinations. It can show you options that may not have been clear to you before, or give you a different perspective on issues you are facing. A reading can also be verification for what your higher self is already telling you, but your conscious self is too busy doubting, to listen to.

How do I choose a reader?

It is important to find someone you like, trust and whom you believe will tell you the truth. Talk to several readers. Ask questions. If the reading is not connecting with you at all, and none of it rings true to some part of yourself, always trust your own inner self.

You are wise to never believe something that a reader tells you, just because you think they "know." It must ring true to your higher self. To get the most out of a reading you need to trust in your own higher self.

What should I expect?

You should expect to be shown options, possibilities to allow you to more easily make your own choices. You should not expect the reader to tell you what to do or to give you all the answers. An honest reader will only show you the paths presented and will encourage you to make your own decisions. An honest reader will not try to charge extra fees to remove "curses" or get rid of "bad luck".

How do I know if I have picked the right reader for me?

How comfortable do you feel? Does the reader encourage you? Make you feel empowered? You are seeking someone who feels good to you. Someone you can easily talk to. Someone you feel you can trust.

Should I accept all information as fact?

Absolutely Not! A reader sees information as it filters through his or her own consciousness. The details are subject to the interpretation and prospective of the reader. Accept what is correct or feels correct to you and disregard that which is not. It is also important to recognize that a reading is based upon your current path. If you make other choices, then you alter your path, and consequently the outcomes shown in the reading. Many people choose to get periodic readings as they alter their paths by their decisions.

How do I know if a reader was accurate?

Most often, only time will tell. Ask yourself whether the information was accurate about your past experiences. If the reading was accurate about the past, there is no reason to think it will not be accurate about the future.

How often should I get a reading?

You can get another reading as things change or new choices present themselves to you. Asking the same question week after week does not assist you because it gives little time for anything new to happen. Distinguish your panic and insecurities from wanting to see the next step in your path. A good honest reader will not allow you to become reader dependent.

How do I know if I have become "reader dependant"?

When you find yourself feeling the need to seek out a reader for even the everyday decisions. At that point the readings have become unempowering for you, and you should take a break from readings until major life events occur to warrant one.

THE PSYCHIC CODE OF ETHICS

Every able healer or guide needs a code of ethics to stand by. Whether you are dedicated to the physical level of consciousness as a doctor, physical therapist, body worker, or the mental level as a counselor or teacher or the spiritual level as a religious leader or a psychic: The higher your standard of ethics is, the greater your abilities will become.

I will take full responsibility for my own energy.
I will set it and run it accordingly.
I will take the time to ground myself.
I will be committed to being in my Body experiencing the present moment.
I will be emotionally neutral and am always aware of which energy is mine and which is not.
I will not undermine another by taking on their problems; I create no dependencies. Instead, by example, I will teach the laws of autonomy and free will.
I will not use my abilities to control, manipulate or program another.
I will use my clairvoyance to see the TRUTH for each person and not be mischievous or practice clairvoyerism.
I will read the past and present with only a reference to the probable and possible futures of another; thus allowing the other the freedom to create their own future.
I will look for the way in which it is easiest for the other to have energy, and I will communicate to that po-int (positive intention)
I will have a strong heart connection with others, and accept each as an equal Human Being, subject to the respect that physical and spiritual Beings deserve.
I will allow others the privacy sacred to all SOULS.
I will devote my life to the purity and truth of my own essence energy, as well as helping others find their own purity and truth within their own hearts.
I will devote myself to the individuality of each soul, respecting that individuality in its search for health, well-being and ultimately God.
